Strong emotion each time the skis, silently, open the track by lifting up the snow dust clouds, because there is nothing more beautiful than launching into a descent on an spotless snow. The Alpine Guides are the ideal partner to face wonderful descents with maximum safety, away from the beaten tracks in the continuous search for the most beautiful lines. Sometimes, in order to enjoy especially beautiful descents, you must “earn” the top on foot, with snowshoes or skins.
In the Castellaccio Group there are a number of channels to be addressed such as the Canalino del Dito, Canal du Gendarme, Channel Pericles-Sacchi, Devil and many other steep channels within the reach of a good skier, snowboarder or telemarker.
Alpine Guides and Ski Instructors of the Group Alpine Guides Val di Sole will decide the lines to be followed according to the snow conditions and your level of preparation.

Detailed plan

8:30, meeting at the Paradiso cable car to the Passo Tonale, briefing on equipment Freeride. We will take the cable car to reach high altitude.
14:00, back at the Passo Tonale.
What will we do during the day:
– Evaluation of the snow conditions with extended column tests;
– Check the safety systems;
– Check self-rescue techniques;
– Off the track and steep channels thrilling!

The Gruppo Guide Alpine “Val di Sole” (Val di Sole’s Mountain Guides Team) was born in 1982 from a group of friend, all mountain-lovers, who decided to gather under a single “shield” all the Guide which were living in the valley.

Along the years there have been several changing among the team, and many have been the improvement from that first year. This website is our last news in terms of contacting people.

Hiking on the mountains, at any altitude, in any season, is the best way to discover the real heart of the mountains. This intense emotion must be felt in silence, in the middle of empty spaces, feeling free in front of wide horizons. Walking, hiking, climbing or skiing: in any case, it is a long way to find what nature has to offer you. A step-by-step path which can be made easier by the leading of an expert such as a Mountain Guide.

The leading of a mountain guide from the Val di Sole valley can really be what you are looking for: their experience, together with their knowledge of their native places, will give you much more than a simple guidance.
