Descrizione

The ring route called “Gabiàn climbing ring” goes through the mountain range of Cimónega, between the provinces of Belluno and Trento and culminates in the summit of Piz de Sagrón (2486 m). This ring allows us to aggregate two historic alpine routes.
The first, the Detassis-Corti created in 1934 that Ettore Castiglioni described in the Guide of the Mountains of Italy as “the shortest and most advisable way from the northern slope of Sagron”, deeply groove the northern slope of the massif. The second climbing route created around 1877 by the climbers Cesare Tomè, Thomas Da Col and the guide Mariano Bernardin “Gabiàn”, then became the normal way to the summit. From the summit, the return to the valley takes place along the normal road to the Piz of Sagrón and the path of Alta Via n.2.

Mountain Guides in our area are called “Eagles.” Our group – Eagles Alpine Guides of San Martino and Primiero – already born in 1881, founded by four people from Primiero who have written memorable pages of mountain climbing: Michele Bettega, Bortolo Zagonel, Antonio Tavernaro, Giuseppe Zecchini. Today we are about forty specialized professionals in all mountain disciplines that can take you for excursions, trekking, climbing safely and climbs the Pale di San Martino and the Dolomites. The summer program is intense with varied activities and plans for any kind of experience and ability, from nature excursions in the Natural Park Paneveggio Pale di San Martino to classical and rock climbing courses. In winter, we offer exciting snowshoeing in the most fascinating areas in the surroundings of San Martino and Passo Rolle ski tours as well as tours.

The Alpine Guides are great storytellers, faithful guardians of the secrets of the mountain and enjoy sharing them on trips together. A day spent with us is not only the discovery of the territory, but also of their people, customs and traditions.
