If you do not want to ski but want to dip yourself in the beauty of the Dolomites, than an experience with snowshoes organized by the Val di Sole Alpine Guides is the best choice for you! This event is addressed to those who want to have a contact with the quiet but full of charm winter environment. For walking on snow we will use this ancient tool called snowshoes.
This afternoon excursion is relatively simple, suitable for everyone, including families (children> 8 years) but very charming. We leave in the morning from Folgarida and we will forward the woods passing picturesque mountain huts such as the historical Malga Dimaro, built in 1945 and still with granite stones. From here we will have a panoramic view of Mount Sasso Rosso and the Brenta Group.

Programma dettagliato

1:15pm, meeting at Belvedere Cablecar (see link Googlemaps)

4:30pm, return scheduled.
The price includes the accompaniment of a mountain guide of Alpine Guides Group Val di Sole and the equipment (snowshoes and poles).

The Gruppo Guide Alpine “Val di Sole” (Val di Sole’s Mountain Guides Team) was born in 1982 from a group of friend, all mountain-lovers, who decided to gather under a single “shield” all the Guide which were living in the valley.

Along the years there have been several changing among the team, and many have been the improvement from that first year. This website is our last news in terms of contacting people.

Hiking on the mountains, at any altitude, in any season, is the best way to discover the real heart of the mountains. This intense emotion must be felt in silence, in the middle of empty spaces, feeling free in front of wide horizons. Walking, hiking, climbing or skiing: in any case, it is a long way to find what nature has to offer you. A step-by-step path which can be made easier by the leading of an expert such as a Mountain Guide.

The leading of a mountain guide from the Val di Sole valley can really be what you are looking for: their experience, together with their knowledge of their native places, will give you much more than a simple guidance. It will be a fulfilling experience, because while you simply walk in the middle of nature, the guide will give you so many insight about history, people, places and so on that you will sure come back with a profound experience. Moreover, you will discover secret spots and places that only the guides are aware of, while being safe at any moment.
