This itinerary is one of the thematic routes dedicated to the Great War (1914-1918) among the most beautiful and exciting of Trentino. What makes it unique is the track that leads the hiker into a gorge between high rock walls where the Austro-Hungarians digged trenches and deep shelter and the splendid panorama of the Terragnolo valley, at the Borcola pass on the Pasubio mountain. From Serrada, the trail gradually rises to the right side of the valley of Terragnolo and reaches Fort Dosso delle Somme. The passages between the high rock walls, in particular the Wolf’s gorge – Wolfsschlucht are somewhat spectacular, as the views that open on the Pasubio, which was also the scene of harsh fights.
