Descrizione

The “Tour of the Forts” itinerary is a highly naturalistic and historical route. Alpe Cimbra was the scene of tragic events in First World War (1914-1918) and many are the wrecks that testify it, in particular, the numerous Austro-Hungarian fortresses. During the tour we will have the opportunity to visit two of the most important forts: the Forte Dosso delle Somme, which for its size is one of the main Austro-Hungarian defensive structures of the whole front and the Fort Sommo alto. Through paths and dirt roads, we will go back to the Ecken Biotope, a beautiful corner of uncontaminated nature on the Folgaria Plateau.

Programma dettagliato

Meeting time: 9 am in Folgaria.
Returning at 1:00 pm circa.

The price includes the accompanying MTB Guide. Possibility to rent Mtb on site. The assisted pedal bike (e-bike) will make the tour accessible to the less trained. Seeing is believing!

Alpe Cimbra Activity is a set of mountain professionals which includes local guides, ski instructors and MTB guides/instructors. Our operative base is the Alpe Cimbra, in details Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna. Trentino’s corner of paradise to discover both in summer and winter.

The best way to know our territory is riding a bike or just walk, dipping yourself in the unspoilt nature of our Trentino mountains. We are available to accompany you to discover the Alpe Cimbra: we us you do not just do sports, but you’ll learn about the history, culture, traditions and stories of this land and the people who inhabit it.

In summer we constantly organize outdoor activities: tours in MTB (or for the less energetic in E-Bike), Nordic Walking excursions and hiking, suited to enthusiasts of all skill levels, from beginners to experts.
We hope to welcome many of you!
