Descrizione

Easy and educational trail. From the village of Cadine, we walk to Sorasass, to visit the Austro-Hungarian First World War stations built to defend the city of Trento from possible Italian attacks. It is a ring route that brings us back in time when the city of Trento was a possible target the Italian attacks. Trekking is very easy, we will follow the forest road and the original military mule track. You can visit the various artillery sites, rock-hammers and enjoy a stunning panorama to the Adige Valley by reaching the “pontesel”, a panoramic spot over the valley. In the excursion it is also possible to match the visit to the Fort of Cadine built in 1860-1862 to ban the Vela Valley to any Italian attacks.

Programma dettagliato

The appointment is in Cadine (restaurant Stube del Galletto) and we drive to the Fer de Caval where we start trekking. In about 1 hour we reach the “Spaza Domeneghe” site for a visit to the first warships pointing towards the Valle dei laghi.
In about twenty minutes we reach the summit of Sorasass (800 m) and then visit all the galleries. Spectacular views of the Adige Valley from “Pontesel”.
Continue following the original military mule track to the “fuciliara” (visitable) and then return to Cadine. There is a possibility, while returning, to make a detour and visit the Fort of Cadine (€ 2 per person).

Bio

As AMM I organize trekking for single individuals or small groups (including schools) to discover the geological history and geomorphology of the Trentino mountains: from the western to the eastern Dolomites. Fascinating excursions on a journey through time to visit ancient volcanoes or coral reefs that formed the bedrock of the famous Dolomites.

I also organize trips aimed at visiting the Great War remains (1915-1918) that are scattered throughout the Trentino along the old front line of the war in and around the City of Trento (Trento the famous fortified belt).
