If you are looking for a different way to go up the mountains, if you love walks and even more animals this is the excursion for you. Trekking will take place around the historic towns of Deggia and Le Moline, on the outskirts of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park. The Lama will be an exceptional companion that thanks to his calm and attention to man will give great emotions and satisfaction to children as well as adults.
At the end of the excursion there will be a tasting of local products (vegetable from our vegetable garden, local cheeses, … )

Programma dettagliato

10:30 am Meeting at Athabaska Farm. Approaching animals and guided treks.
12:30 pm Return to the farmhouse with tasting of typical products.
1:30 pm End of activity.
The price includes guide accompaniment and tasting of typical products.

Athabaska is a dream come true thanks to the strong passion for animals of Maurizio Cattafesta, and is growing through the experience accumulated by working for almost 10 years with the sled dogs and five years with camels, cattle, horses, sheep, pigs and various poultry. Athabaska is now and established dog sled school and didactical farm in San Lorenzo in Banale (tn), with over 80 animals with breeding of Alaskan husky and camelids.

The activities with animals allow you to discover in a sustainable way our rural and small mountain villages landscape. In this scenery, Athabaska established itself as a young and innovative project in Trentino, with the aim to re-evaluate and offer eco-Tourism able to create employment and income in rural areas of the region which have been usually abandoned.

Athabaska mission is a “return to origins”, as much as possible based on self-food goods, on the rediscovery of ancient crafts (processing of llamas and alpacas wool, wood processing), and on a deep contact with our animals.
