The clockwise Sellaronda MTB Tour is surely the easiest to deal with. Thanks to the use of the cable car, the difference in altitude to do by bike is relatively small. Descrizione

The clockwise Sellaronda MTB Tour is surely the easiest to deal with. Thanks to the use of the cable car, the difference in altitude to do by bike is relatively small. There are few climbs that require a certain amount of commitment, while many downhill trails where to pay particular attention. Starting from Canazei, we will move to Campitello where the Col Rodella cable car rises up to Passo Sella, which can be reached by a short descent. Particularly interesting is the famous City of Sassi, which is just below the Pass, at the foot of the Sassolungo. A long descent, during which we can admire the panorama of the Dolomites, leads up to Val Gardena. Then, a single trail goes down from the Gardena Pass and arrives at Colfosco. From Corvara take two more cable cars before facing the sloping Alta Via towards Passo Campolongo. From here we climb up with Campolongo cable car and descend to Arabba to take the Porta Vescovo cable car. The lower part of the track is another particularly demanding descent from which we will admire the spectacular scenery of the frozen peaks of Marmolada and the artificial lake of Fedaia. From the upstream station of the Fodom, on top of the Pordoi Pass, a long and panoramic descent leads to Canazei.
With the help of the lifts, which enable the transport of mountain bikes, and with its exciting and panoramic slopes, the Sellaronda MTB Tour tour takes about 6 hours in a clockwise direction.

 

Programma dettagliato

Meeting: 8.30 am Piazza Marconi Canazei.
Return: approximately 5.00 pm
NB: Present yourself with your own bike or rental in good condition, gloves, backpack with anti-wind jacket, snacks and water, mandatory helmet.
The price includes guide accompaniment and bike-pass for all ski lifts.
Difficulty level: Medium. Good mountain bike riding is required, especially downhill.
