The Ferrata routes of the Dolomites are a legacy of the First World War, as many of them were built at that time, on the border between the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Kingdom of Italy, to allow fighters to reach the summit in a simple, fast and safe way.

The ferret called “The Magnificent 4” is dedicated to the memory of the 4 rescuers that were buried under a avalanche in Val Lasties in December 2009. Located on the Maerins’ walls, in the Marmolada group, it is one of the most demanding ferry routes in the Dolomites and requires Excellent physical preparation and totally not be scared of height. At the top, we will have the feeling of having completed a small mission.

 

Programma dettagliato

Meeting time: 7:30 am at the House of the Alpine Guides in Campitello.
Expected return: 3:30 pm
The price includes the accompaniment and instruction of the Alpine Guide and, if necessary, the ferrata kit (harness, ferrata lounge, helmet). Any transfer costs or ticket lifts will be charged to the participants.

NOTE: you must arrange for a packed lunch.
