We suggest one of the most beautiful high altitude hikes in the Ortles Cevedale group, one that can be defined “The Classic among classics”, traced on the crest dividing Lombardy from Trentino,  theater of the Great War , overlooking the Glacier dei Forni, the widest glacier in Italy. We suggest one of the most beautiful high altitude hikes in the Ortles Cevedale group, one that can be defined “The Classic among classics”, traced on the crest dividing Lombardy from Trentino,  theater of the Great War , overlooking the Glacier dei Forni, the widest glacier in Italy.
In the afternoon we climb up with the cable car Peio to the Doss del Gembri (2380 mt.).  On a military trail, we will gradually reach the Vioz refuge (3535 mt.) where we can dine and stay overnight.
In the morning we climb to the Cima Vioz (3645 mt.), after crossing the glacier on the ridge, we reach the Palon de la Mare (3703 mt.) At Bivacco Rosole (3470 mt.) where we can make a short stop on Cima Cevedale (3769 mt.). From here we cross the ridge until we reach Zuffalspitze (3757 mt.) from which we descend, either on ridge or by canals (depending on the snow conditions) at the Larcher Lodge (2607 mt.).
The excursion is technically simple but requires good physical preparation.

Programma dettagliato

Meeting time: Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Alpine Guide Office in Malè. Check out equipment and transfer to Pejo.
Expected return: 4:00 pm on Sunday.
The price includes the accompaniment of the Alpine guide and the necessary equipment. Overnight stays and meals are excluded.
